All of our meat is from our own livestock, born and raised on our farm under conditions which we feel contribute best to our philosophy of "Contentment is Flavour". Our animals are properly spoilt and well attended at all times. After they have been to the abattoir (an unfortunate legal necessity) the carcasses are returned to us. They are then hung in our cold room until the time is right for cutting. For cattle this is a minimum of 28 days hanging; sheep minimum 7 days ; pigs minimum 5 days and poultry minimum 5 days. This period during which they are in the cold room allows the meat to mature and adds to the flavour of the end product. Then the carcasses are butchered in our on-site cutting room and packed by us, ready for purchase. Poultry - Chicken breast, two ducks, some geese available from the freezer.
