Our Produce - as at end Dec 2011
Please contact us if you are
interested in purchasing any fine meat for your freezer.
All of our meat is from our own livestock, born and raised on our farm under conditions which we feel contribute best to our philosophy of "Contentment is Flavour". Our animals are properly spoilt and well attended at all times. After they have been to the abattoir (an unfortunate legal necessity) the carcasses are returned to us. They are then hung in our cold room until the time is right for cutting. For cattle this is a minimum of 28 days hanging; sheep minimum 7 days ; pigs minimum 5 days and poultry minimum 5 days. This period during which they are in the cold room allows the meat to mature and adds to the flavour of the end product. Then the carcasses are butchered in our on-site cutting room and packed by us, ready for purchase. Sausages, and Meat Boxes
We make a variety of sausages in our on-site butchery. All are made using the vast majority of the meat from the pig, i.e. all the good meat, and the meat percentage is between 80% and 85%. Our best-selling flavour is that which we call "Old English", and is normally available in both large and chipolata size.
The current flavours that we have in stock are:
Beef Sausages
We are happy to supply Beef, Pork and Lamb boxes, or indeed half lambs and half pigs should you require. Our box weights are 5kg, 10kg, and 15kg. For information and prices regarding boxes or half lambs / pigs, please contact us.
We keep a small number of Turkeys, Ducks and Geese for Christmas, so if you would like to enjoy an exceptionally tasty Christmas feast, then please ensure that you get your order in early. We also make hams (cider cured and honey glazed) to order, so please let us know in advance if you are interested - they are really very tasty!! All the birds are slaughtered by a licensed slaughterman on site and plucked, dressed and packed by us. Delivery Details
For local delivery, please contact us, as we would be more than happy to oblige. Minimum order for free local delivery is £30.00. Our definition of local is within 25 miles of South Molton. Unless we have recently slaughtered all our meat will be dispatched frozen, accompanied by sufficient ice to keep it that way until it arrives with you.
Nationwide delivery is available for the princely sum of £9.00 for a box of up to 15kg in weight. This will be delivered by reliable courier service. Should you require delivery anywhere in the country, then contact us, and we can sort everything out this end to ensure that you receive your meat order in the very best possible condition.
