Camping at West Kidland Farm
Here at West
Kidland Farm, we offer a variety of camping options, from the so-called "Glamping"
to our purpose built camping barn (otherwise known to us as the Bunkhouse).
In addition, we have a small camping field where you can pitch your own tent.
The options that we offer are listed below with accompanying photographs.
We are ideally located for those who enjoy walking, as the Two Moors Way is a stones throw from the farm. In addition, as we are situated right by the North Devon Link Road, so we are conveniently situated for sightseeing, with South Molton and Tiverton being short drives away. Exmoor is within sight of the farm and less than twenty minutes drive, and the North Devon Coast is approximately a forty minute drive away. During your camping stay here, we are always more than happy to show you around the farm and introduce you to all the different animals that we keep, from the goats to the cows, and our large number of poultry. In addition, we are happy to sell you meat for you to cook during your stay - from beefburgers and sausages for the barbecue, through to steaks and roasting joints for you to take home with you!

Camping Options
Please see the price list at the bottom of the page for the prices relating to the different camping options available.
Option One -
Glamping in our Bell Tent.
The Bell Tent is fully furnished and ready for you to move straight in
on your arrival. With two double futons, it can sleep either four adults, or two
adults and two children. All bed linen is supplied for you, so you only really
need to bring yourselves and your clothes. We have an outdoor bathroom/shower
area for your use, and an indoor cooking/dining area where you can prepare and
eat your meals. Alternatively, if the weather is nice, you can eat al fresco.

Option Two -
Home from home in the Showmans Wagon.
The Showmans Wagon is an original 1950's style wagon. With a purpose
built outdoor deck, you can sit and watch the world (or the geese, ducks and
chickens) go by whilst supping a nice drink in the evening. The wagon is
furnished, with cooking facilities, utensils etc all provided for you. The
outdoor bathroom and shower is a mere five yard walk from the front door of the
wagon. All bed linen is provided for you. The wagon is not particularly large,
and is therefore ideally suited to a couple, or at most a couple with a very
small child with its own sleeping arrangements.

Option Three
- all pile in together in the Bunkhouse.
The bunkhouse is designed to sleep a maximum of seven people, which is
quite a squeeze, but entirely possible. With lower and upper deck purpose built,
rustic bunkbeds you can choose who sleeps where! All bedlinen is supplied, and
there is a limited amount of storage space for storing clothes. As with the Bell
Tent and the Showmans wagon, there is an outdoor bathroom right next door to the
bunkhouse, with toilet, sink, shower etc. Also, there is the use of the indoor
cooking and eating area should you wish to use it.

Option Four -
bring your own tent, and pitch it where you want.
If you prefer to bring your own tent with you, then you can bring it
along, and pick a spot to pitch it in our camping field. We can supply
electricity should you need it, and you will have access to the outdoor bathroom
and shower. Also, there is a purpose built outdoor wash down area for cleaning
crockery etc after you have eaten, or indeed yourselves if you fancy an al
fresco wash down!
